Came here for supper early on a Friday (in the month of August). We were received with open arms by a full staff of friendly locals. The staff all spoke good to excellent English. The food (pasta and fish) was very good locally inspired dishes, some included some more off-the-beaten-path dishes that included wild boar. Crowd included an heterogeneous mix of couples (first daters and lifers), young families and singles alike. I would definitely come back to eat here on my next visit to Sorrento
Fresh and tasty italian food, far from the crowded streets. The waiter was so nice and servile and he also offered us a free espresso because he was sorry for making us wait for 5 minutes (which was not much).
What a hidden gem. This is a must visit. Fantastic food, just amazing. As a foodie, I appreciate and look out for good spots, and Piennolo is one of them.I got the spaghetti nerano (with zucchini) and it was to die for. Absolutely fantastic!!And my wife ordered a simple spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and she loved it.I also got tiramisu and it was deliciousHighly recommend.
We came here by mistake. Definitely the best mistake we made in Sorento. Make sure to try the bruschetta. The staff is extremely polite, and very accommodating. The zucchini flowers are also a must try. I had the ravioli. It wasn’t amazing. But the appetizers were all fantastic.
How fortunate we were to stumble upon Piennolo whilst wandering around the winding streets in Sorrento. The menu selection was spot on catering for all, including vegetarian options. We ordered the linguine with mussels, risotto with lemon, pistachio pesto & shrimp carpaccio, and a tiramisu for dessert. The dishes were so delicious and fresh. This was by far the best meal we had on holiday! The service and atmosphere was spot on; friendly and cosy. I would highly recommend a visit if you're ever in Sorrento!
Had an amazing gnocchi all sorentina, it was absolutely delicious and huge portions! Also ordered a tiramisu for dessert and once again huge portions I couldn’t even finish it. Was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible and the staff were so friendly. If I had more time in Sorrento I would absolutely come back
Wonderful little restaurant in the heart of Sorrento central district in a charming little alley. fantastic cheesecake for dessert. The pasta dishes were delicious. Yummy fried anchovies. Friendly owner.
Exquisite food, brilliant service. We pre-booked this restaurant and it was one of our favourites from our trip. The food was superb, we had the trio of Bruschetta and aubergine parmigiana to start which was delicious. Lovely wine too! Highly recommend.
